KPATC was proud to honor Keyerra Riddle and Kristie Cervello at Riverside County Sheriff’s Office in California with our Challenge Coin for their heroic teamwork earlier this year. They received a call from a 14 yr old boy who was home alone with his younger siblings and intent on ending his life. They stayed on the line with this child and related to him as if it were their own son. When deputies arrived, they worked as a team and spoke to this boy together until he put the gun down saving a family from a tragedy that would have changed their lives forever.
