Michael Barr Challenge Coin

Thank you, Michael Barr, with the City of San Diego Fire Dispatch, for Answering The Call To Be His Best Self on Dec. 14, 2021. Michael received a call from a cell phone from a couple who fell into the raging San Diego River during a rain storm when they were trying to save their dog. Michael acted fast to locate the caller through RapidSOS location technology which was new to their center. Then he immediately shared the latitude and longitude with the first responders at the scene. In situations like these, minutes and seconds really count. We were honored to meet Michael and his training coordinator, Sean Morse. We look forward to receiving more stories from their center.
